The velocities below were measured at 65 degrees F at 14 feet through a Shooting Chrony.
Here are some comparisons to four other popular pistols. Pocket Pistol A is .2" shorter than the XR9, Pocket Pistol B is identical in size to the XR9, Sub-compact C is .7" longer than the XR9, Full-size D is 2.0" longer than the XR9. Forty-seven styles of 9mm ammo were tested with 12 types of 124 grain, 9 types of +P, and 12 types of 147 grain. For an overall average, the XR9 produces 28% more kinetic energy than Pocket Pistol A, and 8% more kinetic energy than Full-size D.
